CRESTON, Iowa - The Creston city council is already looking ahead towards next summer. The council debated changing the city's ordinance regarding fireworks for the Fourth of July.
City Administrator Mike Taylor told KXCV/KRNW that while nothing has been passed yet, changes are already in the works.
Under the potential plan, fireworks would be allowed, but only from noon to 11 p.m. during the holiday. Fireworks would also not be allowed in the city's uptown area and violations could result in a minimum fine of $200.
